The problem is, I copied (ctrl a) & (ctrl c) and pasted all files into another folder (on another drive)...
and when I go to edit the template and library files in Dreamweaver, they do not update their child-pages. I went back into my other drive (that I had initially made the website in), and updated something on the template page, and a thing pops up and goes through the process of updating each of the child pages. Does anyone have any idea what is going on with copying the files to another drive, that makes it not update?

Just click the description text and choose "save" or "save as" to download the zip file to your computer.
Once on your computer double-click the file and it should un-zip the files.
Updating the original file will not update the files in other drives unless you are using some kind of version control, you will have to update all the copied files manually.
Dreamweaver is fine to use, it just depends on how you use it, I personally use it but I still hand-roll my code so I don't run into any issues with it making a mess of my code. I don't think I've used them since high school, but you need to (do something like) set up a "new site" in Dreamweaver that points to the copied folder. If that does not recognise that the page you updated has children it will likely be an issue because of the path of the files.
If this is the case I would recommend you manage it as a new 'site' in Dreamweaver, but to do so I would export the original in the manage dialogue to a file, then import it back into DW Which version of DW are you using?
I can set up a site within a site on mine The paths weren't the issue.By Janine Warner The great advantage of Dreamweaver templates is that you can automatically apply changes to all the pages created with a template by altering the original template. For example, if you have links in an uneditable region, you can later automate the process by making the change in the template.Free Simple Church Website Template is one most popular Christian website template available. This clean website theme has sections for church services, latest news and related options in the homepage. It also has audio player to play sermons and also includes blogging features.I decided to change the navbar system - part of the uneditiabel region in the template - by opening the template file and edit-ing that file, and then saving it as the same Dream Weaver template file.
